Sam trained at The Royal Scottish Academy Of Music And Drama and Ecole Philippe Gaulier. Theatre includes: Siegfried Sassoon in Not About Heroes (Feelgood Theatre Productions), Tony in The Algebra of Freedom (7:84 Theatre Co.), Roy in Lone Star and Morganhall in Dock Brief (Clerkenwell Theatre), Valmont in Les Liaisons Dangereuses (Cambridge), Oberon in A Midsummer Night's Dream (Hornchurch), Petruchio in The Taming Of The Shrew (Cambridge Shakespeare Festival), the title role in Brecht's Baal (Greenwich) and Screwtape in C.S. Lewis's The Scewtape Letters (The Swan Theatre, Stratford - upon - Avon and National tour).

Television includes: Feel The Force, Holby City, Harbour Lights, Mysteries, Bad Boys, Takin' Over The Asylum, Strathblair (BBC), Taggart (SMG), F.O.T. (Working Title), Scorn (CBS). Films include: Phil in Chasing Liberty and Private Hastings in Steven Spielberg's Saving Private Ryan.
