Johnnie Fiori

Johnnie

Johnnie is currently appearing in Hairspray at the Shaftesbury Theatre and last year appeared at the Royal Exchange Theatre as Ma Rainey in the award winning Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom. She began singing at the age of 3 and in 1998, launched her international career with an appearance on Vh1 Europe’s acoustic programme Take it to the Bridge, as a singer songwriter. Johnnie has also toured major clubs and festivals throughout the UK and Europe.

Her performances include commercials (Coco-Cola and Pepsi campaigns), television and films. Her voice was featured as The Three Muses from the Disney soundtrack for Hercules, as La La and Poe for the Teletubbies and on the children’s show Brum.

West End credits include Mabeline in 125th Street (Shaftesbury Theatre) and Thoroughly Modern Millie. In 2005 she made her debut at The Royal Opera House Covent Garden in Lorin Maazel’s world premiere of 1984 and was most recently seen this spring in The Exonerated, directed by Bob Balaban at The Riverside studios.
